Introduction:

Priors is an independent practice based in Hove and established in 1923.  Committed to providing a first class professional service in the management of residential blocks of flats and estates in Sussex and Hampshire, our portfolio of 240 blocks, mainly based in Brighton & Hove, stretches from Eastbourne to Portsmouth and London. The successful candidate would be joining a team of four existing director and senior level Property Managers.

To complement our existing hard working team we require an experienced Property Manager who is seeking a challenging, rewarding position with responsibility. Reporting to two directors:-

The Role:

  • Dealing with customers day-to-day enquires and emergencies;
  • Instructing contractors to undertake minor repairs and authorising the invoices for payment;
  • The production of service charge budgets and planned maintenance programs;
  • Issuing statutory notices including those under Landlord and Tenant legislation;
  • Liaising with in-house or consultant building surveyors and other suppliers/consultants.
  • Monitor insurance claims, H&S compliance, fire risk assessments etc;
  • Carry out regular property inspections of managed blocks and estates;
  • Responding to Solicitors enquiries relating to the sale of flats.
  • Responsible for Health & Safety on Portfolio (FRA’s, NEIC & Asbestos report)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience;
  • A practical skills set with previous residential block management experience as well as knowledge of building construction and leasehold legislation;
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem solving
    The ability to communicate clearly, impartially but concisely;
  • Be able to work autonomously and manage external consultants;
  • Membership/working towards IRPM or RICS.
  • A competitive package is on offer commensurate with experience. The role is based in our office in Hove. 25 days annual leave (+3 days between Christmas and New Year at the directors discretion), plus bank holidays. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 09.00 – 17.30 and Friday 09.00 – 17.00 with an hour for lunch. Company mobile phone and company workplace pension scheme.
